Stephen H Meyer

Stephen H Meyer, 55, passed away on Wednesday, July 2, 2008 in Sandpoint ID. Graveside services will be conducted at 9:30 AM, Wednesday, July 9th; in Pinecrest Memorial Park. Pastor Ron Houghtaling, Dover Baptist Church, will officiate. Stephen was born in Bakersfield, CA on Feb. 21, 1953, the son of Homer and Barbara Meyer. He attended school in Bakersfield, later going to work for Nortel, a telecommunications company. He was and electronics technician (practical engineer) and his job took him to different work sites throughout the United States. He took an early retirement, due to a disability, in 2000. He moved to Hope in 1998 and then to Sandpoint in 2002. He enjoyed his passion for computers and electronics. He is survived by his mother Barbara Meyer of Bakersfield, CA; 5 children Paul Meyer of Oregon; Scottie Meyer of VA; Bruce Meyer of CA; Anthony Meyer of VA; and Priscilla (Meyer) Davis in ID; a sister Sharon Lincks in ID; 2 brothers Jeff Meyer in CA and David Meyer in CO; and 11 grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his father Homer and a daughter Tye Meyer. A complete obituary announcing service dates will be posted at a later date.
