Kenneth Frank Schwartz

July 30, 1950 — February 25, 2014

Kenneth F. Schwartz, of Sandpoint Idaho, passed away on February 25th, 2014 while doing what he loved best-helping people. Memorial Services will be conducted on Monday, March 3, 2014 at 1:00 pm at The First Christian Church, with Pastor Tony Nelson officiating. Kenneth was born on July 30th, 1950 in Grand Rapids MN. Ken graduated from Greenway High school where he also played basketball for the high school team. He loved to watch Gonzaga play games. He was married to Shelley Schwartz for over 30 years who was the love of his life and soul mate. Ken started out logging when he was a young teenage boy that grew into a lifelong love for the woods. He was so good that he could tell you to a tee exactly how many chord feet you could get from one tree. His love for the woods grew into a love for wildlife where he learned to hunt and navigate the forests of Northern Minnesota, Northern Idaho, and Prince George Canada. He had a way to bring out the best in everyone. Anytime he was asked for help, his eyes would light up with excitement so that he would drop everything he was doing. His morning usually started out with a cup of coffee, and a game of cards which he usually won! He was survived by his wife Shelley; his four children Randy, William, Joy & Ryan; his brothers Tom & Billy; his sisters Soupy & Mary; and his 12 grandchildren & 2 great grandchildren; and neighbors & friends. He is preceded in death by his mother & father, Virginia & William Schwartz. Ken would've liked any donations made to the family to go towards The Foundation for Wildlife Management Inc. PO Box 821 Ponderay, Idaho 83852 and indicate Region 1 in your donation.
