Roland C "Rick" Buck

Roland Carl “Rick” Buck, Jr. 61 of Sandpoint passed away at his home on March 28, 2014. Family services will be held at a later date. Rick was born in Osaka, Japan on March 9, 1953 the son of Roland C and Jean Buck.  In 1954 the family returned to the Sandpoint area.  He attended local schools, graduating from Sandpoint High School in 1971.  During Vietnam he served with the US Army, in Germany. He had worked in the sawmill in Colburn and in Alaska building log homes.  He returned to Sandpoint in 1996.  He enjoyed fishing and visiting with his family and his friends. He is survived by his mother Jean Buck in Sandpoint, ID; his daughter Stacey Drennan in Coeur d’Alene, ID and his grandchildren Ava and Isaiah in Coeur d’Alene, ID; two sisters Carolyn Martin in Palm Desert, CA; Debbie Carpenter in Pasco, WA.  Numerous nieces, nephews and cousins also survive. He was preceded in death by his father.
