Emma Louise Hawkins

Emma L. Hawkins, 87, passed away Wednesday, April 2, 2014 in an assisted living home in Manteca, California.She was born February 10, 1927 in Romulus, New York to Cora Ethal (Clark) Troutman and Harry William Troutman. When attending high school as a junior, she met, fell in love with and married Robert Noel Hawkins on March 26, 1946. They moved to Sandpoint and lived, worked, and raised a family. Robert and Emma moved to the Seattle area in 1968 and then after retirement, they moved to Tacna, Arizona.Emma was preceded in death by her parents, her brother, Robert Troutman, her beloved husband of 49 years, Robert Noel, and her son Mark E. Hawkins.Emma is survived by her sister, Eleanor Thorp of Romulus, New York, daughters: Dawn M. Best of Manteca, California and Cindy L. Hawkins of Eugene, Oregon; 7 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren; and 1 great great grandchild.Graveside services will be conducted 10AM Friday, July 18, 2014 in Pinecrest Memorial Park.The family suggests a donation may be made to the Alzheimer’s/Dementia Foundation, or a charity of your choice.
