Howard Hoyt Marshall

Howard Hoyt Marshall, 73, of Sandpoint passed away Wednesday, April 23, 2014 in Sandpoint. He was born Oct. 6, 1940 in Medford, OR the son of Frank and Mildred Marshall. He was raised in Rogue River, OR and Medford, OR. He lived the life of a hobo for many years. He worked on a rock crusher in Oregon and in a pear packing plant in Medford. He moved to Sandpoint in 2001.Private family services will be held at a later time.Howard enjoyed small engine repairing, playing video games, shopping at flea markets, fishing with his grandson Nick, prospecting for gold, and watching gold prospecting shows. He had a heart of gold and would do anything for anyone.He is survived by his children: William James Marshall of Medford, OR; Duane (Amanda) Cagle of Portland, Oregon, Jeff (Tabitha) Summerton, Chris (Alisha) Schafer both of Sandpoint, ID, Mike Brown of Seattle, WA; a brother: Dewey (Maxine) Kock; grandchildren: Keia, Dalton, Dakota, Nick, Chris, Jayda, Kelley, Jaden, Tyler, Zoe, and Bethani. He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers.
