Elaine Ruby Obenauer

Elaine Ruby “Hulquist” Obenauer, born 22 Nov. 1953 in Sandpoint, ID , passed away on Wednesday, April 30, 2014 at Kootenai Medical Center in Coeur d’ Alene, Idaho.Like her husband Chris, who passed away in January 2014 after 39 years of marriage, Elaine was an avid fisher, hunter and gardener. Elaine was also an awesome caregiver and all around handywoman. Elaine was a remarkable woman, wife, parent, sister and friend! She will be greatly missed.Elaine is survived by 5 loving children: Chris, Jr. (Patricia) of Dillon, MT, Randy (Theresa) of Anaconda, MT, James of Billings, MT, Dana Lynn Cisneros (Roy) of Anaconda, MT, Corey (Kim) of Sagle. Together they have 17 grandchildren; 21 great grandchildren and 3 great great grandchildren. Elaine is also survived by her sister Ruth of Missoula, MT and 3 brothers: Guy (Joanie) of Sagle, ID, Richard (JoAnn) of Amarillo, TX, and Jan (Marybeth) of Missoula, MT.Memorial services will be held at the Jewel Lake Ranch barn on Saturday, May 24, 2014 at 2:00pm. The family would enjoy having all of their friends and relatives come and share their memories of her. A potluck dinner will follow services.The family would like to give special thanks to Carolyn for her loving support and care.
