Irene Hulda “Granny” Parker, 79. passed away in Sandpoint, Idaho on Monday, August 4, 2008.
Private family services will be held at a later date
Irene was born in Granite Falls, WA on Sept. 13, 1928. As a child, growing up, she lived through the depression. She graduated from high school in Granite Falls, WA. At graduation she received an award for 9 years of perfect school attendance. On June 11, 1948 she married Robert T. Parker in Everett, WA.
She lived in New York returning to Granite Falls, WA in the early 1950’s and then moving to Marysville, WA in 1957. In 1960 she moved to Arlington, WA and then to the Gold Creek area of Sandpoint in 1994.
She enjoyed her dogs and cats, taking walks in the woods, and raising a garden for her family. She was always a Darigold fan and her favorite president was Franklin D. Roosevelt.
Irene is survived by 4 children Gary parker of Sandpoint, ID; Louise Sims of Sandpoint, ID; Geraldine Anderton of Hope, ID; and Mary Walter of Arlington, WA.; 12 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren, and a sister Iona Davis of Marysville, WA.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband Robert,
a brother Rudy, and her dog Blossom.
