Dustin (Dusty) David Bloom, 63, passed away on Tuesday, May 27, 2014 at his home in Sandpoint, Idaho.
Dusty was born to Denver and Mary Bloom in Sandpoint, Idaho. He has resided in the area his entire life. He attended Kootenai and Northside Elementary Schools, Stidwell Jr. High and graduated from Sandpoint High School in 1970. Dusty spent much of his adult life working for the Bonner County Road District as a grader operator. Following suite of his Dad, who also worked as a grader operator for the County for many years. In about 1986, Dusty built up his own small business as an auto mechanic working out of his home. He continued to actively run this business until about a year ago. Through the years, Dusty demonstrated a kind heart many, many times when others needed his advice or help. In his earlier years he enjoyed traveling; one year taking his Mother to visit places she grew up as a child. Another time he and his sister Ruth traveled to Stockton, California and Reno, Nevada to visit family. Dusty took his Dad and niece, Tammy, to Sacramento, California so his Dad would be able to visit his family members.
Dusty was preceded in death by his parents, Denver D. and Mary K. (Holden) Bloom and one niece, Christine M. Bloom.
Dusty is survived by two sisters; Phyllis J. Beauchene and Ruth E. Stevens and her husband Paul from Sandpoint, Idaho and a brother Philip J. Bloom and his wife Diana of Moses Lake, Washington. Also surviving are; 5 nieces, 1 nephew and 25 great nieces and nephews.
Burial and graveside services will be conducted on Monday, June 2, 2014 at 1:00 p.m. at Pack River Cemetery, Sandpoint, Idaho. (Intersection of Colburn/Culver Rd. and Selle Rd. 10.3 miles NE of Sandpoint). Philip Bloom will be officiating.
