Paul Charles Nicek

Paul Charles Nicek, 85, passed away in Lewiston, ID on Friday, August 22, 2008. Graveside funeral services will be conducted in the Hope Cemetery at 3:00 PM, Saturday, August 23rd. Pastor Mark Wendle, Clark Fork United Methodist Church, will officiate. Paul was born in Chicago, IL on July 4, 1923 the son of Carl and Marie Nicek. He lived in Czechoslovakia until he was ll years old, then returned to America and graduated from high school in Oklahoma City, OK. He earned his master’s degree in Architecture and worked in commercial architecture in Oklahoma until retiring in 1988. He married Irene L. Barton on May 28, 1948. They lived in Oklahoma City, OK; Sun City, AZ; prior to moving to Hope and Clark Fork in 2002. In October of 2007 he moved to Clarkston, WA to be closer to family. He is survived by – His wife, of 60 years, Irene in Clarkston, WA; his son Alvin Nicek of Oklahoma City, OK; his daughter Glenda Maxwell of Clarkston, WA; 4 grand daughters, 2 grand sons, and 3 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, 2 brothers, and 1 sister.
