Doreen Evelyn Ove, 92, passed away in Sagle, Idaho on Monday, September 1, 2014.
Memorial services will be conducted on Saturday, September 27, 2014 at 3:00 pm in the Edgemere Seventh Day Adventist Church, 5161 Vay Rd, Priest River, ID.
Doreen was born February 22, 1922 in Peace River, Alberta; Canada, the daughter of Sidney and Edith Wylie. The family would move around a lot in her younger years and she would graduate high school in the spring of 1940 in Northern California.
At the age of 19, she would marry Orville LeRoy Mechling. They would move to Orofino, Idaho where they lived for a number of years. While in Orofino she would get her LPN license and work in a hospital in Lewiston, Idaho. Orville would later pass away in December of 1968.
Doreen would meet and later marry Richard Ove in 1973. They owned and worked on a ranch in Coram, Montana. In 1989, they moved to the Sandpoint area before settling in Sagle in 1993. Richard would later passed in January of 1999.
Doreen had a close relationship with God and was involved in Dorcas. She loved gardening, visiting with family, her children and grandchildren and church.
She is survived by her two daughters Carol (Merlin) Bryan of Coeur d’ Alene, ID, Jan (Dave) Rydalch of St. Anthony, ID; her two sons Charles (Carol) Mechling of Clarkston, ID, Fred (Connie) Mechling of Sagle; Numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, great-great-great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews; her step-children; her sister-in-law Nora Church of Otis Orchard, WA; and her half-brother Jack Wylie of Spokane Valley, WA.
She is proceeded in death by her two late husband’s Orville and Richard, her parents, a son Jess Mechling, a brother and three sisters.
