Lloyd Edwin Webb, 91, passed away in Coeur d’Alene, Idaho on Saturday, September 6, 2014.
Graveside funeral services, with military honors, will be conducted at 9:00am, Friday, August 12, 2014. The services will be in the Fairmont Cemetery, Spokane,Washington with Pastor Manuel Denning officiating.
Lloyd was born on August 16, 1923 in Granite, Idaho the son of John and Carrie Webb. He attended the West Valley School and the Central Valley School in Spokane, WA. He was drafted into the US Army in 1943 and served in the Pacific Theater during WW II. He received his honorable discharge in 1946.
On March 5, 1943 he married his wife, Marilyn, at the Hitching Post in Coeur d’Alene, Idaho. Lloyd worked as a pipe fitter, in commercial construction, and the family moved to Eugene, Oregon in 1959 due to a job relocation. In Eugene, Lloyd raised Appaloosa horses and joined the Appaloosa Club. He retired in 1982 and the family moved back to Clagstone, Idaho in 1985. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and raising appaloosa horses.
His wife Marilyn preceded him in death in 1993 after 50 years of marriage. Also preceding him were two sons Mike and Tim.
He is survived by his children Dennis (and Carolyn) Webb in Veneta, Oregon; Pat (and Eunice) Webb in Springfield, Oregon; Melannie (and Lonnie) Loppnow in Spirit Lake, Idaho. Also surviving are numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
