Darlene Jane Young

Darlene Jane Young, 71, passed away on Wednesday, September 10, 2014 at her home in Cocolalla, Idaho. Memorial services will be conducted at 10:00am, Saturday, September 20th, in Coffelt's Funeral Chapel. Pastor Barry Johnson, New Song Bible Church, will be officiating. Darlene was born on September 5, 1943 in Canton, Ohio the daughter of Donald and Elizabeth Green. She lived in Ohio with her family before they would relocate to Denver, Colorado. She attended South High School in Denver graduating in 1961. Upon graduating she went to radiology school at Mercy Hospital and graduated from there in 1963. She would move to Riverside, California in 1964 and worked at the community hospital. She met and married Art Young in 1968 and they recently celebrated their 46th wedding anniversary. Darlene, Art and their two daughters, Susan and Dawn, moved to Sandpoint in 1974. She worked at Bonner General Hospital from 1974 to 1978. In 1978, she went to work for Dr. Rust at Sandpoint Family Medicine where she worked for 37 years.
