Margaret "Marge" Hanson, 91, passed away in Sandpoint on Wednesday, Sept. 10, 2014 in Sandpoint, Idaho.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00pm, Wednesday, September 17th, in Christ Our Redeemer Lutheran Church, Sandpoint, Idaho. Pastor Steve Nickodemus and Pastor Fred Page will be officiating with burial in Pinecrest Memorial Park.
Visitation for family and friends will be in Coffelt’s Funeral Chapel on Wednesday from 9am until 12 noon on Wednesday, Sept. 17th.
Marge was born on May 19, 1923 in Elgin, North Dakota the daughter of Gottlieb and Pauline Koepplin, Russian immigrants. She attended schools in Elgin, North Dakota and married Leslie “Swede” Hanson on October 12, 1943 in Superior, Montana. She had lived in Osborn, Idaho prior to moving to Dover, Idaho in 1953.
She was a seamstress, working for Jennestad Clothing for many years. She was a member of the “Dover Girls, in Dover, Idaho. She was a longtime member of First Lutheran, where she and Swede were the custodians until his death in 2004. She also attended the Clark Fork Lutheran Church and Christ Our Redeemer Lutheran Church in Sandpoint.
Marge enjoyed cooking, baking cookies and taking care of her family.
She is survived by her daughter Cindy Salfeld in Hurricane, Utah; three granddaughters Kami Harriman in Sandpoint; Nikki Salfeld in Sandpoint; and Sara Salfeld in Eugene, Oregon; four great grandchildren Gage, Ila, Azi, and Elysia.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Swede, and two infant daughters.
