Miriam “Mimi” Starr, 83, a beloved wife and mother passed away on Tuesday, October 21, 2014 in Sandpoint, Idaho.
Graveside services will be conducted at 2:30 pm on Saturday, October 25, 2014 in the Riverside Cemetery in Spokane, Washington.
Miriam was born July 25, 1931 in Spokane, Washington the daughter of Colonel Charles and Pauline Mackoff. In 1960 she met David Starr in the painting studio at the School of Art, University of Washington. It was love at first sight and they married later that same year.
Mimi was a talented and learned artist, a teacher, a lover of history, a world traveler, expert gardener, wife and mother. She made her home a sanctuary of beauty and a treat to enter. She taught art and reading in Spokane and Seattle.
She is survived by her beloved husband: David of Sandpoint; and her daughter Samantha Starr of Seattle.
