Mary Ellen “Timblin” Roberts, 83, of Sandpoint, Idaho passed away on Wednesday Nov. 5, 2014 at her home.
Funeral services will be conducted 11:00AM, Sunday, Nov. 9, 2014 at the Sandpoint Church of God, with Pastor Jon Pomeroy, officiating. Burial will take place on Monday in Pinecrest Memorial Park.
She was born Dec. 24, 1930 in Colburn, Idaho the daughter of Rex and Clara Timblin. She attended Bonner County Schools, graduating with the 1948 Sandpoint High School class. She later attended North Idaho College in 1968-1969. Mary Ellen married Harry Roberts in Sandpoint on March 7, 1954. They lived in Sandpoint until moving to their family home in Colburn in 1970.
She enjoyed gardening, needle work, knitting, crocheting, quilting, playing the piano, and singing in community choirs. She was a member of the Sandpoint Church of God.
She is survived by her husband Harry of Sandpoint; 3 children: Melanie (Arthur) Farrand, John (Johnna) Roberts both of Sandpoint, Andrew (Glenna) Roberts of Cocolalla; 6 grandchildren: Jimmy, Vicki, Lynis, Brian, Andrea, Brandon: numerous great grandchildren; and her sister Pat (Lyle) Evans of Lake Stevens, WA. She was preceded in death by her parents, 2 brothers, 1 sister, and an infant son, Harry.
