Joseph Lee “Joe” Pedrini, 81 of Kootenai, Idaho passed away on Thursday, November 6, 2014 at Kootenai Health in Coeur d’ Alene, Idaho
Funeral services will be conducted 11:00AM, Wednesday, Nov. 12, 2014 at Coffelt Funeral Chapel. Interment will be in Pinecrest Memorial Park.
Joe was born Feb. 3, 1933 in Lakeport, California the son of Emelio and Rose Pedrini. He was raised in California where he attended schools. He served in the US Army during the Korean Conflict and following his discharge attended Cal Poly Tech in California and became an Operating Engineer. He worked in California until 1977 when he moved to Southern Idaho where he owned several restaurants. He returned to California to resume his career as an Operating Engineer prior to retiring in 1990. He moved to Idaho in 1991 where he has since resided.
Joe loved people and socializing at various cafes in the area. In his younger years he raced snowmobiles. He enjoyed hunting, was an awesome cook and was a founding member of the Barbeque Mafia. He could cater any size function and enjoyed doing so.
He was a member of the Elks Lodge and Moose Lodge in California and the Sandpoint Lodge #1376 BPOE.
He is survived by his children Joelle K. Pedrini (Eric Clark) of Athol, ID, Lee Pedrini of Sandpoint; 2 grandchildren: Lacey Kim Pedrini, Ryan Joseph Pedrini-Clark; and a nephew Nino Pedrini. He was preceded in death by 3 brothers: Art, Harold and Ralph.
