John Robert Meredith

John R Meredith, 57, passed away on Monday, October 20, 2008 at his home near Sandpoint, ID. Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 AM, Friday, October 24th, in Coffelt’s Funeral Chapel. Hal Burrows will be officiating. Interment will be in the Pack River Cemetery. John was born in Mesa, AZ on Jan. 3, 1951 and attended schools in that area. In 1961 he moved to Sandpoint and attended Sandpoint High School. On Nov. 23, 1983 he and Rose were married in Sandpoint, ID. He worked for the Sandpoint Cheese Company and for the Louisiana Pacific sawmill. He became a certified lumber grader and retired, for health reasons, in January 2008. John enjoyed being in the great outdoors, 4 wheeling, and hunting. He loved spending time with his family and his friends. He is survived by his wife Rose Meredith of Sandpoint; 6 children Barbara (and Brian) Godsill; DeeDee (and Jose) Rios; John K.C, (and Brandi) Meredith; Jennifer Meredith all of Nampa, ID; Ilene (and John) Rainey; and Monica (and Steve) Reeves both of Sandpoint, ID; and 20 grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother, and a sister.
