Marie Emily Scheimeister, 90 a long time resident of Hope passed away peacefully on Friday December 5, 2014 at Luther Park in Sandpoint.
Marie was born in 1924 in Jersey City. She graduated from High School at Our Lady of Victories in 1940. Marie celebrated her 90th Birthday on October 11th, 2014. She fell in love with Arthur “Bob” Scheimeister and moved to Brentwood California. They later moved to Hope Idaho and built their dream home in 1988. They celebrated their 63rd wedding anniversary just days before Bob passed away in April.
Marie was a talented seamstress, loved her dogs and enjoyed fishing with her husband Bob, extended family and friends. Marie faithfully read the Wall Street Journal and a daily devotional. When speaking of her early years growing up in New Jersey she would say “it took courage!”
Marie is survived by Dee Naglemayer, Edward Naglemayer, Thomas Naglemayer, grandson Scott Wieman, and other relatives from New Jersey to Australia. She leaves behind her friends in Hope and the caring staff of the Bridge Assisted Living and Luther Park.
Services will be conducted by Dale Coffelt on Tuesday December 16th 11 am at Coffelt Funeral Chapel. Marie will be laid to rest next to her husband Bob at Pinecrest Memorial Park at a private interment.
