Nancy Lee O'Briant

Nancy Lee O’Briant, 70, passed away in Sandpoint, Idaho on Wednesday, Dec. 10, 2014. Family services will be held at a later date. Nancy was born on June 19, 1944 in Omaha, Nebraska the daughter of Harold and Bernice Samson. She attended schools in Omaha, graduating from South High School in 1962. She completed nursing school in Omaha, becoming an LPN, moving to Denver, Colorado in 1968. She married Thomas O’Briant on Sept 30, 1970 in Denver, CO. She was an LPN in Englewood, CO; Casper, WY; Denver, CO; and in 1997 moved to the Hoodoo Valley near Priest River, ID. She continued, as an LPN at Lifecare in Sandpoint prior to her retirement in 2009. She enjoyed sewing and contributed blankets to the Women’s Pregnancy Program. She is survived by her husband, of 44 years, Tom O’Briant, Priest River, ID; 3 children Elizabeth L O’Briant in North Glenn, CO: Rhonda F O’Briant in Laramie, WY; Thomas H O’Briant in Cheyenne, WY; 4 grandchildren; two brothers Ron Samson in Omaha, NE; Harold Samson in Grand Island, NE; and a sister June Nemecek in Omaha, NE; Numerous nieces and nephews also survive. She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother Richard.
