William “Bill” James Brennan, 90, passed away on Tuesday, December 9, 2014 at his home in Walla Walla, Washington.
Graveside services were held on Monday, December 15, 2014 at 1:00 pm at Evergreen Cemetery in Priest River, Idaho. A celebration of his life will be held on January 10, 2015 at the VFW Hall, 102 Colville, Walla Walla, Washington.
William was born August 1, 1924 in Dickinson, ND, the son of Emma (Bergstad) and William F. Brennan. Bill attended school through the 8th grade at which time he became a ranch hand for many years. Bill went to work for a power company, as a lineman and settled in with Pacific Power and Light. As a lineman, he worked in every state in the Northwest. Bill retired from Pacific Power and Light in the late 1980’s. He was a member of the IBEW for 65 years.
Bill was affiliated with the Fraternal Order of Eagles in the late 1950’s and was a social member of the VFW for many years where he loved to dance every Friday night.
Bill is survived by his three daughters Judy Gumm, Shirley George and Donna (Ted) Bricker; five granddaughters and one great grandson. Also surviving are several nieces, nephews and his faithful dog Duke.
He was preceded in death by his parents, a son Clarence “Ole” Brennan and his sister Myrtle Churchill.
