Robert John “Bob” Crabb, 83, passed away peacefully at Maplewood Assisted Living in Hayden, Idaho on Monday, January 19, 2015. He put up a good fight after a stroke in 1996.
Private family services will be conducted at a later time.
Bob was born January 12, 1932 to C.D. and Ruth Crabb in Morton, Idaho the 9th of 10 children. Bob graduated high school in Sandpoint, Idaho in 1950. After serving two years in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict he married Joyce Watkins on June 17, 1956 in Sagle, Idaho. He worked 7 years running a milk route in Bolinas, CA, and as a maintenance man for Mineral County Courthouse and Library in Superior, Montana.
Bob was a skilled carpenter who built and remodeled houses in Superior, MT, California, Texas, Alaska and Idaho. They have lived and worked in Superior, MT since 1970. He was the best at everything he did and will be sorely missed by all who knew him.
Bob is survived by his wife of 58 ½ years, Joyce Crabb; 4 children: Terri Anne Jones of Plant City, FL, Cathy Brockway of Superior, Montana, Daniel Crabb of Jerome, Idaho, Cindy Olson of St. Maries, ID; 5 grandchildren: Curt Brockway of Superior, MT, Katie McMillan of Huntley, MT, Brian and Tim Jeffries both of Missoula, MT, Alex Jones of Plant City, FL; 2 great grandchildren: Cooper McMillan, of Huntley, MT, Taylor Jeffries of Twin Falls, ID; 2 brothers: Herman Crabb and Ralph Crabb both of Sagle, ID; and numerous nieces, nephews and friends.
Bob was also survived by his sister Clara Belle Galloway, who passed away on January 21, 2015, two days after her brother.
