Rae Maxine Powers, 82, passed away in Sandpoint on Thursday, February 26, 2015.
Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 am, Thursday, March 5th in Coffelt’s’ Funeral Chapel.
Interment will be in Pinecrest Memorial Park.
Rae was born on October 30, 1932 in Kettle Falls, Washington the daughter of Rex and Thelma Francis. She attended Kettle Falls Schools and graduated from high school in 1950. In 1968 she moved to the Seattle area, working as a dental technician. Following her retirement she purchased a home in Sandpoint and moved here in 2002.
Rae was an accomplished artist, doing oil paintings also working with pen and ink.
She is survived by two children Michael-Conn Powers from Bloomington, Indiana and Shelley Powers from St Louis, Missouri; three grandchildren Justin, McKenzie and Alyse; two sisters Jean and Ellen; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
