Carlton Eugene Shade

Carlton Eugene Shade, 94, of Priest River passed away on Tuesday, May 26, 2015 at Bonner General Hospital. Private family services will be held at a later time. Carlton was born April 18, 1921 in Martinsburg, WV the son of George and Louella Shade. He was raised in West Virginia and served in the U.S. Army during World War II. After his honorable discharge he married Mary Elizabeth Banks in Las Vegas, NV. They their celebrated their 65th anniversary prior to her death in 2010. They lived in California for many years. Carlton was a sheet metal worker throughout his working life in the heating and air conditioning business. He moved to Priest River in 2011 to be near his daughter. Carlton was an avid bowler, a hobby he enjoyed into his 90’s. He is survived by two children: Elizabeth (Jim) Durham of Priest River, ID, Marvin Lee Shade of Auburn, Ca; 6 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and 1 step brother.
