The unexpected death of William Joseph Jewsbury, 55, occurred Tuesday May 26 at 10:00pm in his home.
Bill was born in Santa Ana, CA on April 17, 1960. He grew up in North Idaho, attending Southside School then Sandpoint High School where he was considered the life of every party. He married his loving wife, Wendy Jewsbury in 1982.
Bill joined the US Army Reserve when he was 17 years old and went active duty in 1990, serving for a total of 33 years. He has earned numerous medals such as the Meritorious Service medal, Army Commendation medal, Army Achievement medal, and the prestigious Sergeant Audie Murphy Award.
Bill enjoyed his family, skiing, fishing, hunting, and riding his Harley Davidson Motorcycle.
Bill is survived by his wife of 33 years Wendy Jewsbury, son Joshua Jewsbury, daughter Michelle Jewsbury, mother Sandra Jewsbury, brother Christopher Jewsbury, brother Michael Jewsbury, niece Autumn Inman, and nephew Skyler Jewsbury.
Preceding his death infant daughter Jennifer Jewsbury, brother Scott Jewsbury, and father Bill Jewsbury Sr.
His funeral service will be held Saturday, June 6, 2015 at 1:30pm at Coffelt’s Funeral Home with Father Dennis C. Day of St. Joseph’s Catholic Church officiating. The celebration of his life will be held immediately following at the VFW Hall in Sandpoint.
