Clinton "Clint" Carroll Campbell

Clinton "Clint" C Campbell, 78, passed away on Saturday, June 13, 2015 surrounded by family in Sandpoint, Idaho. A celebration of life memorial will be held at the Oden Hall, 143 Sunnyside Rd, Sandpoint, ID on, Monday, June 22 at 1:30 pm. A private family burial will be at Pack River Cemetery. Clint was born August 25, 1936 to Walter and Janet (Milne) Campbell in Sandpoint, Idaho (born on South Ella Street). He was a lifelong resident of Sandpoint, living in the Sella area then on the property in West Oden Bay, his grandparents purchased in 1928, where he lived until his passing. Clint attended Pack River School (Northside), Kootenai School, and graduated from Sandpoint High School in 1955. Also attended University of Idaho for one year, where he studied Engineering. Clint married, Delores Burnett in 1958. He served in the Army for two years, two months, 24 days, nine hours and 15 minutes! He was stationed at Redstone Arsenal in Huntsville, Alabama. Upon discharge, Clint continued working for the State of Idaho, Department of Transportation, retiring in 1991 after 34 years of employment. Clint enjoyed spending time with his family. Especially watching his three grandchildren, Kent, Griffin and Kendall grow up. Researching history of the local area was a favorite past time. He also enjoyed hunting, fishing, listening and telling stories and tales of his adventures. He will be remembered as the family story-teller! Clint is survived by his wife of 57 years, Delores. Two daughters, Karen May (Shawn Adam), Spokane, WA and Karla Campbell (Fred Mathews), Phoenix, AZ. Grandchildren, Kent Baltutat, Phoenix, AZ, Griffin May, Spokane, WA and Kendall May, Spokane, WA. Brother, Don Campbell, Sandpoint, ID and numerous, nieces, nephews and cousins. Clint was preceded in death by his parents, Walter and Janet Campbell, brother, Colin Campbell and sister, Dorothy Myers. The family suggests that memorial donations may be made to Bonner County Museum or the Oden Hall.
