Cari Ann Anderson, 47, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on Monday, June 15, 2015 in Sandpoint, Idaho after a long and courageous battle with Huntington’s Disease.
Memorial services will be conducted at 10:00 am on Saturday, June 27, 2015 in Coffelt’s Funeral Chapel. Pastor Barry Johnson of the New Song Bible Church will officiate. Cari will be laid to rest in Pinecrest Memorial Park.
Cari was born on October 17, 1967 in Sandpoint, Idaho the daughter of Jerry and Pearl Anderson. She went to elementary school in Kootenai and graduated from Sandpoint High School in 1986. In 1991, she graduated from the University of Oregon with a dual major in Women’s Studies and Spanish. Upon graduation Cari spent a summer in South America until settling down in San Francisco with the love of her life, Dave. While in San Francisco, Cari obtained a degree in graphic design and worked until 2001. When she was diagnosed with Huntington’s disease, she moved back to Sandpoint to be closer to family.
Those who knew Cari remember her endless energy, smile and love for life and people.
Cari is survived by her loving mother Pearl Neveau and step father Jim Neveau; brothers Rick (Tina) Hart of Forrest, Mississippi, Steve Hart of Sandpoint, Idaho; nieces Lindsay Anderson, Morgan Yarger, and Rochelle Pacada; nephews James Hart and Eric Hart. She is also survived by numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
Huntington’s disease is a genetic disease passed on through generations. Unfortunately Cari lost her brother, Bob Anderson and her father Jerry Anderson to Huntington’s disease.
