John Erik Hanson

John Erik Hanson, 61, passed away from injuries received in an accident near Dover, on Friday, January 30 2009. Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 am on Thursday, February 5th, in Coffelt’s Funeral Chapel. Chaplain Phil Kenzler, Bonner County Sheriff's Office, will be officiating. John was born in Fresno, California on Aug. 23, 1947. He attended school in Fresno and graduated from high school there. He worked in the oil fields of Oklahoma and New Mexico, driving truck. In 1985 he moved to Sandpoint, Idaho and married Naomi Landon on May 26, 2001 in Coeur d’Alene, ID. He worked for Bonner County, District 3 as an equipment operator. John has always ridden Harley Davidson motorcycles. He purchased his current bike in 2001, and it resides in the living room of his home. He loved to take his wife, Naomi, for local rides. He has been an active member of AA for over 18 years. He is survived by his wife Naomi in Colburn, ID; 4 children Jason Landon of Sandpoint, ID; Kristy Landon of Eagle, ID; Savannah Hanson and Serena Hanson, both living in WI; and his sister Maryann Hanson of Napa Valley, CA. He was preceded in death by his parents William and Edith Hanson.
