Gloria Ann (Miller) Staglund passed away peacefully on September 18, 2015 in Sandpoint, Idaho.
She was born in Everett, Washington on March 10, 1927 to Oliver T. and Jennie M. Miller. She was raised and attended schools in the Ferndale, Washington area. She married Wallace L. (Wally) Staglund on June 15, 1945. The marriage was blessed with four children. The family moved to Sandpoint, Idaho in 1965 and found a wonderful community to help fulfill their lives.
Gloria was always the consummate homemaker while also working many jobs, with her main career being a dental assistant. She was passionate about her relationships with her colleagues and patients.
Gloria was a particularly generous person, highly active in community service groups and her church. She was an active member of the philanthropic organization PEO, the service organization Beta Sigma Phi, and First Lutheran Church in Sandpoint spending many joyful years singing in the choir.
Throughout her life Gloria enjoyed spending time in the outdoors, attending community events and family get-togethers, traveling, singing in the choir, reading, listening to music, and supporting her children and grandchildren in various activities.
Gloria is preceded in death by her parents Oliver T. (Ted) Miller and Jennie M. Miller, as well as her husband Wallace L. (Wally) Staglund. She is also preceded in death by her daughter Cheryl Rae Clark, a daughter-in-law Starla G. Staglund, and her two sisters Merrilyn Sanders and Virginia Sanders.
She is survived by a daughter Marilee (Doug) Renfrew of Coeur d’Alene, a son Dan Staglund of Sagle, a daughter Linda (Doug) Bottcher of Sandpoint, a son-in law Dave (Chris) Clark of Hayden, a brother-in-law George (Scotty) Sanders of Sun City, AZ., eight grandchildren, eleven great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces, nephews and friends.
Private family services will be held at a later date.
