Marcella A. Healy, 89, of Sandpoint, Idaho, passed away in Bonners Ferry, Idaho, on Monday, Oct. 5, 2015. Marcie was born on June 9, 1926, in Grand Rapids, Mich., to Alfred and Johanna Langenbacher, who immigrated to the United States from Germany. She was the third of five children. She grew up in Grand Rapids during the Great Depression. In the late 1960s, Marcie and her family moved to Southern California. After the death of her husband, Marcie went back to Michigan and settled in Lewiston. She loved to laugh and joke and have a good time. She enjoyed riding her snowmobile and picnicking with her good friend and companion, Frankie. She worked at The Meeting Place in Lewiston and was known for her salad “art.” In 2003, she moved to Sandpoint to be closer to her family. She made many friends locally and was a member of the Church of Christ in Sandpoint. Marcie is survived by her daughters, Sharon Dichirico of Oregon, and Diane (Dennis) Carone of California; five grandchildren, Christine (Sam) Stoneham of Sandpoint, Shelley (Dennis) Anderson of South. Carolina, John (Mia) Carone of California, and Rob Dow and Matt Dichirico, both of Oregon; six great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren. She also is survived by her older brother, Al Langenbacher, and a sister, Eleanor Pods, both of Michigan. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Richard Healy; her younger sister, Julie; a brother, Wally; and her close friend, Frank Rardin Sr. Memorial services will be held on Saturday, Oct. 10, at 1 p.m. at the Sandpoint Church of Christ.
