Patricia Joyce Lang

Patricia Joyce Lang, 82 of Sandpoint passed away on Tuesday, Oct. 6, 2015 at her home. Graveside services for Patricia will be held at a later time in Pinecrest Memorial Park. She was born June 10, 1933 in Drummond, Montana the daughter of Lavon and Lillian Mitton. As a young child she moved with her family to Ponderay, Idaho. She attended schools in Ponderay and Sandpoint. As a young lady she worked as a soda jerk, a waitress and at the Pastime Sports Shop where she met Carrol W. Lang. They were married in Sept. of 1956 and she has resided in Sandpoint since that time. In 1971 she began working for the U.S. Postal service as a rural mail carrier and remained there until her retirement. Patricia enjoyed working with ceramics, gardening, her flowers, and had an extensive collection of cook books, however, her greatest joy was her family. She is survived by 4 children: Gary Lang of Vancouver, WA, Brian Lang of Sandpoint, Mark (Pam) Lang of Sandpoint, Carol Ann (Dan) Feist of Sandpoint; grandchildren: Scott Lang, Monica Peak, Lance Powell, Philip Powell, Preston Broker, Dereck Lang, Ashley Spade, Katelynn Fitchett, Natalie Feist; and by 3 great grandchildren: Collette Peak, Samantha Skjoldager and Brayden Lang. She was preceded in death by her husband Carrol in 2002, parents, 1 son, Douglas, 1 brother and 2 sisters.
