Jerry Robert Jones, 59, of Sagle, Idaho, passed away Wednesday, October 28, 2015 in Sandpoint, Idaho.
Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 am, on Saturday, November 7, 2015 in Coffelt’s Funeral Chapel with Pastor Jon Pomeroy from the Sandpoint Church of God officiating. Interment will take place in Pinecrest Memorial Park.
Jerry was born September 11, 1956 in Sandpoint to Emmett W. (Bill) and Joyce (McCrum) Jones. He attended Sagle Elementary School and graduated from Sandpoint High in 1974. He attended the University of Idaho and then worked for the family business, Bill Jones Distributors, his entire life.
Jerry was a long time member of the Elks Lodge 1376. He was an avid musician, especially on the harmonica. As a child his Sunday school teacher said he had the best singing voice of all the kids. He was named after Jerry Kramer of the Green Bay Packers, but he was also a Seahawks fan down deep. Jerry loved music, fishing, Hawaii, boating, hunting, golf, skiing and baseball. He loved the Chicago Cubs and Seattle Mariners. He had an excellent memory, could tell a joke or story with the best, and could have won on the Jeopardy show easily.
He is survived by Corrine Beyer-Bond in Sagle; a sister Candy (David) Tate, brothers Bill (Mary) Jones and Kevin (Julie) Jones, all of Sandpoint. Nephews and nieces: Adam Tate, Ashley (Tate) Pountney, Courtney Jones, Emmett Jones, Rebecca Jones, and Alex Jones, and many loving cousins and close friends. Jerry was loved by many and will be missed by all.
