Clifford J. Grimes

Clifford J. Grimes, 94, long time area resident went home to be with his Lord following a long illness on Friday, October 30, 2015 at Life Care of Sandpoint. Funeral Services will be conducted 11 AM Thursday, November 12, 2015 at New Song Bible Church, with Pastor Barry Johnson, officiating. Clifford was born on March 7, 1921 in Blodgett, Kansas the son of Cyrus and Clella Grimes. Clifford was inducted into the U.S. Army on Sept.25, 1942 and served the Pacific Theatre. Following his discharge he began working for Sears in California. While working for Sears he met Norma P. Clark and they were married on Dec. 5, 1970 in Danville, CA. After retiring from Sears they moved to Sagle where he built their home. Clifford was a member of New Song Bible Church, and served as a Senior Companion. Clifford enjoyed fishing, and playing cards with all his friends at the Senior Center. He is survived by 2 children: Jacquelyn (Ron) Davis and Michael Tweed, by 2 grandchildren: Sheri R. Roberts, Sara Tweed; 1 brother: Edward; and 1 sister: Ruth. He was preceded in death by his wife, Norma, 1 brother, and 1 grandson.
