Flavia Eudora Kellner went to be with Jesus on Wednesday, Nov 4, 2015, at 94 years young in Marysville, WA, surrounded by her loving family.
Memorial service services will be conducted 1:00PM Friday, Nov. 27, 2015 at Coffelt’s Funeral Chapel.
Flavia was born May 11, 1921 the daughter of pioneer parents, Homer and Eudora Blood. Her family had one of just two farms in the whole Sandpoint area during the 1919’s. During World War II she did her part with the war effort by working at Farragut Naval Base. Flavia married Milsen Kellner on July 14, 1946 in Sandpoint, Idaho. They remained devoted to each other until his death in 1994. Flavia was a mentor to motherhood, an example the children will try to emulate.
In addition to her work during the war she worked for the Idaho Department of Public Assistance in Sandpoint, the Idaho Employment Office in Coeur d’ Alene prior to moving to Spokane in 1962 where she worked for Washington Employment Security until her retirement in 1983.
Flavia was a member of the Spokane Valley United Methodist Church, the Retired Public Employees #13, the National Association of Retired Federal Employees and the C.C.C. alumni #14.
She is survived by her children: Janna Taylor and her husband Ted who was like a son to her of Marysville, WA; Neal Kellner of Hansville, WA; 3 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren and her 98 year old brother Fred Blood of Spokane, WA.
