On the evening of November 5, 2015 Norma Jean (Pankratz) Wagner passed away peacefully with family at her home in Sandpoint, Idaho. She was 83 years old.
Norma Jean was born at the family farm in Marion County, Kansas, the third daughter born to Ruth (Beaston) Pankratz and George Pankratz, May 17, 1932. She attended local schools and graduated from Florence High School, where she was quite active in many activities, including being President of her Senior Class.
She married the love of her life, Orlin Wagner on October 30, 1971. They had a full and active life - from raising Peacocks and Polled Herefords to traveling quite extensively. VFW conventions were never missed. Norma was active in many organizations including VFW Auxiliary, TROW and Project Beauty.
Norma Jean Wagner was preceded in death by her husband Orlin Wagner, sister, Joan (Pankratz) Spohn, mother Ruth (Beaston) Pankratz and father, George Pankratz.
Norma Jean is survived by her son Tracy Brandt, daughter-in-law, Becky Strunc, step-sons Orlin Wagner (Karen) and Mark Wagner (Krista), grandchildren Miles and Hannah Wagner, sister Georgia Spohn, sister Enid Albrecht, brothers, Gram Pankratz and John Pankratz, also special nieces and nephew, Toni Cranston, Stephanie Howell, Gary and Carole Spohn.
No services will be held. Donations can be sent to Norma Jean’s favorite charity, The Wichita Children’s Home.
