Bette Black, 88, of Sandpoint, former Laclede resident, died Friday, March 13, 2009 in Sandpoint.
She was born July 14, 1920 in Boulder, Colorado the daughter of Silas and Nell Carter Weber. She was raised in Boulder and attended the University of Colorado. After her schooling she worked as an administrative assistant at the University until her retirement. She married Lyle Black in 1945, and in 1982 they moved to Laclede, Idaho.
Bette loved to read, travel, do embroidery work, and the outdoors.
Bette is survived by her son David Black of Tucson, AZ; 3 granddaughters: Cassie Black of Chicago, IL, Dani Black of Scammon Bay, Alaska, Cammie Rausch of Seattle, WA; and 2 great grandchildren: Pauline and Nicholas Rausch of Seattle. She was preceded in death by her husband, Lyle; parents: Silas and Nell Weber, and 2 sisters: JoAnn and Madeline.
Funeral services will be conducted 11:00AM, Friday, March 20, 2009 at Coffelt Funeral Chapel. Interment will follow in Pinecrest Cemetery.
