Rose Cecile Fredstom

April 16, 1932 — December 9, 2015

Rose Fredstrom passed away peacefully at home on December 9th. She was born in Lewiston, Maine, April 16th, 1932. She was the third daughter and the seventh child of nine. She was always proud of her French Canadian heritage. She married Joseph Paul Belanger of Lewiston, Maine in February of 1950. She lived most of her adult life at her home in San Diego, CA, where she met her second husband, Darrel A Fredstrom, of Sandpoint, ID. They returned to his hometown in 1996 once he retired from the Navy. She was active in the farmers market selling jams. She enjoyed quilting, painting, playing games, and traveling. She was beloved by her friends, social clubs, and the pets she kept over the years. She was a sweet and funny woman who loved to cook for her family. Services will be held on Monday afternoon, the 14th of Dec, at the LDS Stake Center on Schweitzer cutoff and N. Boyer. Services will be at 3:00pm with a viewing at 2:00pm. She is survived by her four children, Pamela Crawford, Nancy Savage (Kevin), and Gloria Hanson-Savage (Ronald) of Sandpoint, and Dennis Belanger (Debbie) of Lemon Grove, CA, and her siblings, Beatrice Wailus, Burt Tancrel (Muriel), Sister Wilda Tancrel, and Norman Tancrel (Marie), her eight grandchildren, and six great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband Darrel A Fredstrom.
