Sandra Lee Johnston, 68, passed away in Spokane, WA on Thursday,
April 23, 2009.
Memorial services will be conducted at 12 noon (Mountain Daylight Savings Time) on Saturday, May 9th, in The Noxon Community Methodist Church. Pastor Mark Wendle will officiate.
Sandra was born in Spokane, Washington on March 4, 1941, the daughter of Kenneth and Mary Miller. She graduated from high school in Thompson Falls, Montana in 1959. In August 1959 she married Jack C. Benson and they were later divorced.

She graduated, with high honors, from Eastern Washington College in 1972, receiving her Bachelor’s Degree. On July 29, 1978 she and John Johnston were married in Renton, Washington. She worked, as a receptionist, for the Coors Brewing Company in Spokane, Washington and for the Washington State Department of Employment in Auburn, Washington.
Sandra was a lifetime member of the Order of Eastern Star in Thompson Falls, Montana. She loved her life and her family and enjoyed knitting, reading, and jewelry making.
She is survived by her husband, of 31 years, John Johnston of Spokane, WA; 3 children Melinda L. Warner of Seattle, WA; COL Kirk C. Benson of Aberdeen, MD; Breanna L. Johnston of Spokane, WA and a grand daughter Lillian Warner in Seattle, WA.
She was preceded in death by her parents Kenneth and Mary Miller.
