David Edward Story was born January 2, 1940 in Los Angeles, California to Glen and Olga Story. He passed away in Bonner General Hospital on March 5, 2016 of a massive stroke and heart attack. He was preceded in death by his parents, his sister Glenda and his twin brother Robert.
Surviving is his wife Dea, sons Marshall, Jerry, David Jr., Nathanial, daughter Deanna and six grandchildren. And many more family and friends whom he loved dearly.
David grew up with movie stars and famous singers but was thrown out of high school at age 17 and then joined the Air Force and was thrown out of the service, he became an actor and was under contract to do movies and television, he became a legend on the streets and in the bars of Los Angeles County and was run out by the LAPD. He fled to Lake Tahoe, Nevada. He became a professional heavy weight arm wrestler who was seen on the Wide World of Sports. David held numerous titles and had been ranked number three in the world. From there he moved to North Idaho where his twin brother took him in.
He changed from a life of violence to an Evangelist and International Anti-Drug Speaker. Over the years he traveled faithfully for more than two decades as he carried his message from the top of the world in Alaska, across Canada and the U.S. all the way to Florida and back again. His work with young people was praised by law enforcement officials, civic organizations, school administrators, teachers, military officers, religious groups and most importantly the young people he had persuaded to make positive life changes.
He was a soul winner and won tens of thousands to the Lord. He loved preaching the Gospel. He spoke in schools, prisons and churches of all denominations. He was talented with being able to sing and play the guitar.
He met his wife, Dea while working in Pennsylvania. He was staying at the Mom’s Bed and Breakfast and it was love at first sight. After two months they were wed in North Idaho. Their marriage of 24 years was filled with much love and laughter. David you will be so missed by everyone whose life you touched.

A celebration of David’s life will take place at the Sandpoint Christian Center on April 2, 2016 at 1:00 pm with Pastor Wesley Ribeiro officiating. Reception to follow.
