Deane Louise Studebaker, 99, passed away in Sandpoint on Thursday, March 31, 2016. Memorial services will be conducted at 2:00 pm on Saturday, April 9, 2016 in Coffelt’s Funeral Chapel with Pastor Barry Johnson from the New Song Bible Church officiating. Private family inurnment will take place in Westmond Cemetery. Deane was born on January 6, 1917 in Sandpoint, Idaho the daughter of Merrill and Grace Nesbitt. She grew up in Sandpoint and attended local schools in Bonner County. On December 3, 1934 Deane married Roy Thomas Studebaker in Newport, Washington. They would live in many places including Seattle, Washington, Walla Walla, Washington, Hermiston, Oregon, Mountain Home, Idaho and Colville, Washington returning home to Sagle. Deane enjoyed reading historical novels and stream fishing on Lightning Creek. She was a longtime member of the Sagle Helping Hand Club and the Rebekah Lodge. The family wishes to express their thanks and appreciation to the staff at Valley Vista Care Center for all their kind and loving care. Each of you held a special place in Deane’s heart. The family suggests that memorials may be made to Rebekah Funeral Aid Association PO Box 359 Kooskia, ID 83539 Deane is survived by her children Rita (Milo) Clark of Spokane, Washington, Janet (Wayne) Farley of Clark Fork, Idaho, Nancy (Ron) McDowell of Whitefish, Montana, Kay (Mike) Wiykovics of Liberty Lake, Washington, Roy (Denise) Studebaker of Newman Lake, Washington; a brother Robert Nesbitt of Sagle, Idaho; a sister Alice Lynch of Anchorage, Alaska; along with numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her husband Roy, her parents Merrill and Grace, two sisters Sarah and Grace Belle, and a brother John.
