Laura Lynn Cox

Laura Cox, 54. After a brave three year struggle with melanoma, Laura Cox passed away Friday, May 6th. Laura was born in Seattle but grew up in California. She graduated from Mission Viejo High School where she was a member of the drill team and a song leader. Mission High is also where she met her future husband, Paul. After they married, Laura graduated from San Francisco State with a degree in history. Laura enjoyed her pet beagles, traveling, cooking and attending her small-group as a member of Sandpoint’s First Christian Church. Most recently, however, Laura reveled in the joy of holding her four week old granddaughter, and watching two other grandchildren play at her feet. No matter where Laura went or what the circumstance, she quickly became known for her beautiful smile, cheerful laugh and entertaining, bubbly personality. She is survived by her husband Paul and her children, Jason and Kelly. During her battle with cancer she was also blessed with three grandchildren, LillyMae, Owen and Remi. Laura will be greatly missed and lovingly remembered. Family graveside services were held in Pinecrest Memorial Park on Tuesday, May 10, 2016.
