John Kenneth Reed

John Kenneth Reed passed away June 30, 2016. He was born July 5, 1942 to Kenneth and Nina (Taylor) Reed at the home place in Sagle Idaho. Grandma always said He was the last Fire Cracker. He attended Sagle School and He grew up on the farm in Sagle and lived there most of his life. He learned to work hard and do the chores around the farm. He fed the pigs, cows, helped with the milking of cows, worked in the garden, the orchard, potato field and the hay field bucking bales for many years and driving the tractor. Not to say that he enjoyed the hard work but he was a hard worker. He also helped with many community area projects alongside his family and friends of Sagle such as the Building of Community Hall at Sagle, the Westmond Cemetery development, also helping to dig many graves by hand for many people who passed on before him. He grew up in the day when you helped your neighbors build a barn, put up hay or any other job they needed help with. He also worked for P. & E. Woodworking, some farm work for folks and he worked for Panhandle Special Needs. Uncle Jonny loved Bonner County Fair and helping in many areas of the fair and always loved seeing the animals the kids had raised. Uncle Johnny lived out his final years at Life Care of Sandpoint where he loved playing Bingo, cards, activities and crafts. Uncle Johnny enjoyed fishing, hunting, elk camp, eating good food, parades and loved to visit with people and make them smile. He attended Sandpoint Church of God. He was preceded in death by his mother, father, (1) brother, (2) sisters. He out lived all his immediate family. He is survived by his Girlfriend Linda Edwards of Sandpoint, (3) Nieces – Marietta Bone of Fredericktown, Mo., Ninamae (George) Pinnsoneault of Sagle, Pam (Steve) Fox of Ponderay, (3) Nephews - Phil (Penny) Mc Guire of Sagle, Mark (Terry) Potter Sandpoint, Rod Mc Guire of Moscow. Many great nieces, great nephews, great- great nieces, great- great nephews. Along with many cousins and friends and other relatives. We will all miss Uncle Johnny and see him again someday in Heaven. Graveside services were held July 5, 2016 at Westmond Cemetery.
