Kristopher J "Kris" Hertel

On Monday September 5, 2016, Kristopher “Kris” Jon Hertel, 16, of Sandpoint ID passed away at Sacred Heart Hospital in Spokane, WA. Kris was born in Sandpoint, Idaho on July 18, 2000. Kris brought joy to everyone he met. He had a beautiful infectious smile, bright blue eyes and a heart of gold. He was an excellent student and athlete who enjoyed music, movies and shows, soccer, animals especially his dog (Lola), and being with his friends. Kris is survived by his mom Karen Hanson Hertel, dad Keith Hertel, brother Kyle Hertel, step mother Brenda Parnell, step brother, Patrick Pozzi, grandparents, great grandmother Mildred, many aunts, uncles, and cousins from ID, NV, WA, WI, CA, MN, AZ, WY, NE, and SD. A celebration of Kris’ life will be at Sandpoint City Beach on Saturday September 10th from 4 until 7 pm. For a comfortable place to sit please bring a blanket or chair.
