Rebecca “Becky” Armour, 71, of Sandpoint, died Wednesday, July 29, 2009 at Kootenai Medical Center.
Private family inurnment services will be held in Pinecrest Memorial Park.
A celebration of the life of Becky Armour will be held at 12 noon, Tuesday,
August 4th in the Sandpoint Eagles Lodge at 1511 John Hudon Way.
Becky was born in Sandpoint, Idaho on June 10, 1938, the daughter of Arthur and Viola Chubb. She attended Bonner County Schools, graduating from Sandpoint High School. On December 9, 1955 she married Donald Armour in Sandpoint and he preceded her in death in 1984.
She moved to Newburg, Oregon in 1968 and graduated from beauty school in McMinnville, Oregon in 1974. Becky had worked as a beautician and at many other jobs. In 1978 she moved to Longview, WA where she resided until moving to Hope, ID in 1985. She has lived in Ponderay since 2004.
Becky enjoyed quilting, arts and crafts, and her family. She was a member of the Sandpoint Eagles Lodge, Aerie # 589.
She is survived by 4 children Patrick Armour in Coeur d’Alene, ID; Ken Armour in Gresham, OR; Lisa Hazenberg in Newberg, OR; Natalie McCarthy in Longview, WA; 8 grandchildren, a brother Smokey Chubb in Sandpoint, ID; a sister Paddy Wesselman in Sandpoint, ID; and a sister in law Dorothy Brown in Thompson Falls, MT. Numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins also survive.
She was also preceded in death by her parents, her nephew Dougie Wesselman, and a brother in law Bill Brown.
