Carlene Marie Bonagofski, 39, of Sandpoint, died Thursday, August 6, 2009 at Kootenai Medical Center. She was born January 3, 1970 in Puyallup, Washington the daughter of Connie and Peggy Christensen. She was raised in western Washington and graduated from Eatonville, WA High School in 1988. She received her associates degree in business from Green River Community College. On August 31, 1989 she married Jerry Bonagofski. They lived in western Washington until 1998 when they moved to Sandpoint. Carlene worked at Litehouse, Lignetics, and as a sales associate at Wal-Mart. She was a devoted member of St. Joseph’s Catholic Church. Her one and only hobby was her family from whom she received endless joy. In addition to her husband Jerry she is survived by 7 children: LaShaunda, Robert, Tristan, Athena, Jacob, Jacenta, and Gabriel Bonagofski; 4 grandchildren: Jesse Thomas, Tazina Thomas, Johnny Loftus, Kenzie Hoffman; her father: Connie Christensen of Ashford, WA, her mother Peggy Hinkson of Sparks, NV; grandparents: Jackie & Art Wilder of Orlando, FL, 2 brothers: Troy Christensen and Shane Brown both of Tacoma, WA. She is also survived by aunts and uncles: Pat & Terry Hanks of Richmond, TX, Cindi & Robb Steel of Reno, NV, Keith Roberts of Olympia, WA, Kelly & Ivy Roberts of Sidney, MT, and Kevin & Jodie Roberts of Colville, WA She was preceded in death by 1 grandson Jason Bonagofski and her cousin Ryan Roberts. Memorial services for Carlene will be conducted 11:00AM, Tuesday, August 11, 2009 at St. Joseph Catholic Church, with Father Dennis C. Day, officiating.
