Billy (Bill) Wesley Reed passed away on March 12, 2017, from Lewy Body Dementia. Bill was born in Duncan, Oklahoma, April 9, 1939, to Jimmy and Frances Reed. His family lived in Texas and California. He graduated from Colton High School in 1957. He married Mary Little on November 2, 1957. While in high school, Bill worked at Smith Meat Packing Co., which led to his career as a butcher. He owned Reed’s Locker Plant in Hesperia, California, then Reed’s Victorville Meat Co. He was active in the State and National Meat Associations, serving as a board member, then President of the State Meat Association. Bill was an active board member at the churches the family attended. He served as a board member for Victorville Christian School, Spring Valley Lake Association, President of the Victorville Optimist Club and on the liaison board for Victor Valley Hospital. In January 1983, they purchased their retirement property in Cocolalla, moving there in 1991. In retirement Bill was active in his church, gardening and traveling in their 5th Wheel. Throughout his life Bill was devoted to his Lord and Saviour, his love for his wife Mary of 59 years and his family. Bill is survived by his wife, Mary Reed, daughter Cynthia Flaget (Duane), sons Donald (Angie) Reed and Jonathan Reed, 6 grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren, sister Joan Justice, brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Gil and Kathy Little, sister-in-law Nancy Little, and 2 nieces and 2 nephews. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Sandpoint Assembly Missions Program. A memorial service, celebrating Bill’s life will be held on Saturday, March 25, 2017 at 2:00 P.M. at Sandpoint Assembly of God, 423 N. Lincoln Avenue, Sandpoint, Idaho.
