Rhonda Rae Marley passed away peacefully at her Valley Vista residence on March 14, 2017. She was born at Bonner General hospital in Sandpoint December 13, 1955.
Rhonda attended school at the little white school house near Washington school, While at school Rhonda made friends easily and some of those friends would eventually come to work with her at Panhandle Special Needs and become housemates at the Monarch House group home. She loved all the group activities that allowed her to adventure out and visit with people. Visiting and talking about her friends, her dog Susie, her favorite music, her latest teen idols, and how she loved Jesus was a favorite pastime.
She participated in Special Olympics and was always excited when she would receive a ribbon. Rhonda loved music and dancing, her record player was always on. (She did have one of the best collections of 45’s). She would always have a great time attending the dances that were held at the community hall.
Her family wishes to thank the staff at Valley Vista and Dr. Tom Lawrence for their compassionate care.
Rhonda is survived by her brother Allan Marley, sister in law, Dalyn Marley, Nieces, Denise Marley and Laura Rains (Marley), and two nephews, Jim Marley and Joe Marley. Private services will be held later. She will be inurned on Baldy Mountain with her parents, Emmett and Bertha Marley, her brother David Marley and her nephews, Russell and Kris Marley.
