Daniel Albert Deshon IV

Daniel Albert Deshon IV passed away suddenly, at the age of 56, at his home in Sandpoint. Dan was born in Sandpoint on January 5, 1961. He attended local schools and graduated from Sandpoint Sr. High in 1979. He attended Washington State University graduating in 1983. He then attended Cornell Law School, graduating in 1986. He married Shelly Stoll in 1984 and they had two children. They later divorced. Dan lived, and practiced law, in Los Angeles, San Francisco, Hong Kong, and Shanghai. He was currently working for CFW, a public finance service. Starting at an early age Dan became an avid skier. During the summer months water skiing and sailing were his passions. He also enjoyed fishing mountain lakes, riding ATV’s and bicycling. Dan is survived by his daughter Samantha Deshon of Los Angeles, CA; and his son Kyle Deshon of Port Hueneme, CA; father Dan (Donna) Deshon; mother Lola (Bill) Bennett; brother John (Lynn) Deshon; nieces Allysa (Kyle) Rickard and Kelsey Deshon; nephew Seth Haley; grandmother Doris Stevens; stepbrother and sisters Edward, Michelle, Stacie Ostrom; numerous aunts, uncles and cousins; and a very good friend Brian Kramer. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends. A memorial service will be held in July for Dan.
