Mark N Ponack

Mark N. Ponack, 63, passed away in Hayden, Idaho on Tuesday, May 9. 2017. Mark went on an eternal hunting trip with his Lord and Savior on May 09, 2017. Mark was born the third child to Nick and Darlene Ponack (Dingley) on March 20, 1954 in Sandpoint, Idaho. He was raised in Hope. In 1977, Mark married Phyllis (Hegstad); the love of his life and became the dad of a tenacious little boy named Shayne. He retired last year after enjoying a long career driving logging and haul trucks. Mark was welcomed home to Heaven by both his parents, his three brothers Mike, Eric and Matt and his father-in-law Kenny Hegstad. Lovingly remembering Mark as a hard-working man with a gruff exterior and a heart of gold are his wife Phyllis, son Shayne Watterud (Andrea), grandsons Dillon Noonan, Wyatt Watterud and Eli Watterud; who were his pride and joy that he shared his love of football and hunting with, sister Linda Keirnes (Forrest), mother-in-law Laura Hegstad, sister-in-law Mary Matteson (Rob), brother-in-law Kenny Hegstad Jr (Shirley) and numerous nieces and nephews. Family services will be held at a later date.
