June J. Anderson, 94, passed away Tuesday, May 16th in Sandpoint, Idaho. June was born on June 26, 1922 in Contact, Nevada to Paul Jones and Helen Weighall. On April 14, 1943, June married Robert H. Anderson in Salt Lake City, Utah.
June was a Registered Nurse for 35 years. The last twelve of those years she was the school nurse in Bountiful, Utah. She brightened the children’s lives and cared deeply for each one of them.
In 1983 June and Robert moved to Hope, Idaho where they owned and ran the Red Fir Resort. June worked hard to assure that the resorts guests had a vacation that made lasting memories. June was very instrumental in the development of the Memorial Community Center in Hope, Idaho. She enjoyed doing stained glass projects and cross stitching.
June is survived by daughter Pamela Gray, also four grandchildren, Kihmn (Robert) Carter, Tyler Yost, Jamie (Ted) Zimmerman and Amber Gray. Her five great grandchildren; Meranda Carter, Kilee Hori, and Jack, Cooper, and Maggie Zimmerman.
June was preceded in death by her parents; husband Robert H. Anderson, and daughter Kathryn Yost.
A celebration of June’s life will be held later in the summer.
