Ralph H. Millin, 87, passed away peacefully at home on June 26, 2107.
Memorial services will be conducted at 2”00 pm, Saturday, July 8, 2017 at the Kingdom Hall, 1715 N. Boyer.
Ralph was born on July 17, 1929 in Gladstone, New Mexico. He was the youngest of six children, the son of Louis and Winnifred Millin. The family moved from New Mexico in 1930 to Sandpoint and located on an acreage north of Kootenai. They later moved to lower Syringa Heights. Ralph worked at the nearby McFarland’s ranch on the Dover Highway. Twenty years later, he worked for the Bonner County School District as a janitor at Lincoln and later Washington schools. He retired in 1992 from the school district. He then worked from a shop at home doing what he loved; installing satellites, repairing T.V.s, VCRs radios and anything else electric or electronic.
He married Eloise Johnson on June 7, 1958. They bought an acre in Kootenai and built a house and buildings while raising two boys; Glen and Brian.
Ralph is survived by his wife Eloise at the home; his two sons Glen (Allyson) of Asheville, North Carolina, Brian (Mary) of Waynesboro, Pennsylvania; three grandchildren Cody, Shandy and Kayla along with several nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his parents Louis and Winnifred Millin, Jack Millin, Paul Millin, Irma VanDorin, Ray Millin and Virginia King.
Ralph was an active Witness of Jehovah since 1940. He enjoyed the outdoors, getting wood, picking huckleberries and camping. He found great comfort from Bible study and talking to others about the Bible’s hope for the future.
